Generations of Exceptional
Craftsmanship
Row-Mic Construction was formed in the early 1970’s by the Rowley family. Wilson “Bill” Rowley, his son Richard “Dick” Rowley, son-in-laws Fred McCabe and Fred Mcneil incorporated Row-Mic Construction, Inc. in Petersburg Virginia. The Rowley family left upstate New York in late 1976 looking for an area with plenty of construction and good enough weather to work year round. Bill drove down Interstate 95 to Florida and back to New York and announced Petersburg was bustling with work and had moderate winters. So the families packed up their belongings and every trailer, hot tar kettle, winnebago’s, and work truck they had and set down the road like a wandering caravan. Row-Mic Construction was formed.
In 1990, Dick Rowley became the sole owner after the passing of his father Bill Rowley. By this time, Row-Mic was a thriving Class A roofing contractor, specializing in metal roofing, shingle roofing, and residential and commercial repair work. In 2000, the third generation of Rowley joined on, Dick’s son David. By 2003, Dick’s other son, Jonathan, came aboard. Dick retired in 2018. Now David and Jonnie run the business together, David on the business side, Jonnie on the installation side.
